TRASH

I have utilised the universities Creative Skills Support to have 1-2-1 workshops to learn the basics for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have mentioned previously that this software is required for 3D printing, laser etching and screen printing that I want to utilise within my practice and development.

Following the demonstration, I played with making my own brushes and decided to make the word TRASH into a brush and using the brush, wrote the word trash.

The rationale behind this, other than just experimentation, was taking the discarded clothes from the charity shop and making them into new garments, playing with the word ‘trash’ as a slogan to highlight that this material was destined for landfill. This could be screenprinted on the new items as a slogan.
