Workshop 1

We were shown the workshop machinery as well as having an introduction to 3D printing and laser etching. I am obsessed. I loved it and I haven’t stopped thinking about how this can be used in my work. I need to learn how to use creative software like Photoshop or Illustrator to be able to supply the files that the technicians need but finally, the creative juices are flowing.

I loved getting to see and feel what other people have produced whilst experimenting with their work. In particular I was drawn to the recycled heated plastics, flocking, etching into wood to create a flexible fabric and interrupting 3D printing with fabric layers.

Really looking forward to experimenting and seeing what I produce.
